Basketball Recap: Gabe Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Billings Christian over Stillwater Christian

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Billings Christian can now relate to. They fell to the Stillwater Christian Cougars 66-62. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 60-56 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

Billings Christian lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gabe Jones, who posted 23 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cole Ross, who went 7-for-17 on his way to 21 points.

Billings Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Stillwater Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
