Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Warriors vs. Harvest Christian Academy Saints

The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors will take on the Harvest Christian Academy Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Trinity Christian Academy gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Dallas Academy by a score of 6-3.

Meanwhile, Harvest Christian Academy got the win against Lucas Christian Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 17-3. Considering the Saints have won 11 games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brody Ticknor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Ellison, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-6. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Mann, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Harvest Christian Academy, their record is now 14-2.

Trinity Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 24-7 defeat they got from Harvest Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
