Southern is a perfect 5-0 against Federal Hocking since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tornadoes will square off against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Southern will be strutting in after a win while Federal Hocking will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Southern turned things around against Belpre on Friday. They blew past the Golden Eagles, posting a 41-8 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tornadoes needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Federal Hocking was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against Waterford, falling 63-0. Considering the last time the Lancers couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Southern's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Federal Hocking, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Southern against Federal Hocking in their previous matchup back in August of 2021, as the team secured a 37-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tornadoes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
