Baseball Recap: Center Comes Up Short

Center and Del Campo squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Center had to settle for second. They fell just short of Del Campo by a score of 2-1. Center has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emare Viera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13-1. As for Del Campo, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-12-1.

Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Del Campo, they will take on Sutter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
