Port Washington strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Nicolet Knights get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly 11 runs.

Libby Bates was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Bates was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Hope Gilhooly and Sierra Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Gilhooly went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Miller scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Paige Scheunemann was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

Port Washington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Port Washington's record now sits at 3-0. As for Nicolet, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.
