Basketball Recap: Lake Dallas Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Lake Dallas had won two straight games and Maizen Gillam did her part to make it three on Friday. The Lake Dallas Falcons strolled past the Celina Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 55-41 thanks in part to Gillam, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 23 points and three steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Presley Scott, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Lake Dallas' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-10. As for Celina, they now have a losing record at 13-14.

Lake Dallas will take on Van Alstyne at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lake Dallas' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Celina, they will challenge Gainesville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Celina is facing Gainesville at the right time seeing as Gainesville is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
