Basketball Recap: Tanyon Bakker and Tony Bos Secure Win for Demotte Christian

DeMotte Christian's game on Friday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 38-34 victory over the Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks. The 38-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

DeMotte Christian was led to victory by Tony Bos and Tanyon Bakker. Bos posted 21 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Bakker had nine points and three steals. The contest was Bos' fifth in a row with at least ten points.

DeMotte Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

DeMotte Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Covenant Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-55 loss against Urban Prep-Bronzeville on the 23rd.
