Baseball Recap: Klamath Union Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Klamath Union won the last time they faced Phoenix and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pelicans came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pelicans.

Pj Safford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Tildon Coffman was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Ryan Glidden was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Klamath Union's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Phoenix, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Klamath Union will square off against Madras at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Phoenix, they will take on Mazama at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
