Basketball Recap: Sargent Takes a Loss

A victory for Sargent just wasn't in the cards on Saturday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They had to suffer through a 68-16 loss at the hands of the Centauri Falcons. The Farmers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Lucas Garcia was Sargent's leading scorer, having posted six points. Fernando Venzor took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Sargent now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Centauri, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sargent will square off against Sangre de Cristo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centauri, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Salida at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
