Volleyball Recap: Dracut Middies vs. Greater Lawrence Tech Reggies
Dracut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greater Lawrence Tech Reggies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Reggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.
The final score came out to 25-22, 16-25, 25-9, 25-21.
Remey Nhim paced Dracut's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nhim got some help from Alexander Sophuok and his 27 assists. Logan Phousengthong controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Dracut's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Greater Lawrence Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dracut will face off against Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Middies are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Greater Lawrence Tech, they will challenge Billerica Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
