Basketball Recap: Norland Starts off Right with Win over Viera

Norland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They strolled past the Viera Hawks with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Jahquori Lombrage was nothing short of spectacular: he posted 13 points. Omari Meda was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Norland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 40 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Viera fell to 2-1.

Norland has already played their next contest, a 57-43 victory against Jones on the 24th. As for Viera, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-40 win against Innovation on the 25th.
