Football Recap: Kenny Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy over Parkview Baptist

Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy lost against Parkview Baptist back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy lost 35-14 to Parkview Baptist. Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenny Jones, who picked up 163 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 55 yards on only seven carries. Jones' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. Jeremy Collins Jr was another key player, having thrown for 341 yards and two touchdowns.

Helix Mentorship & Maritime Academy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Parkview Baptist, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

As for Parkview Baptist, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 49-22 victory against Glen Oaks on the 6th.
