Softball Recap: Peoria Christian Chargers vs. Prairie Central Hawks        
        
		
            
 Peoria Christian lost against Prairie Central back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  in their second game  on Saturday. The Peoria Christian Chargers wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 23-1 walloping at the hands of the Prairie Central Hawks. Peoria Christian has not had much luck with Prairie Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 For Prairie Central's part,  Jules Woodrey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Woodrey was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kyah Creek, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Kyrsten Atkins, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Peoria Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Prairie Central, they now  have a winning record of 9-8.
 Peoria Christian will be playing at home against Princeville at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Peoria Christian is facing Princeville at the right time seeing as Princeville is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for Prairie Central, they will play host again  on Monday to welcome St. Joseph-Ogden, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:30  p.m. Prairie Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.6  runs per game  this season.
