Volleyball Recap: Mashpee Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nantucket on Tuesday, Mashpee came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carver Crusaders on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-27, 25-16, 24-13.

Carver found their leader in sophomore Grace Hyland, who had 15 digs and two assists.

Mashpee's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Carver, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mashpee will face off against Wareham at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carver, they will take on South Shore Vo-Tech at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
