Lafayette won the last time they faced Carencro and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lafayette Lions' pitchers stepped up to hand the Carencro Bears a 20-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kaylee Morgan, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Addyson Ingram was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Lafayette's record now sits at 8-4-1. As for Carencro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Lafayette will be playing at home against Acadiana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carencro, they are taking a road trip to take on New Iberia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
