Basketball Recap: White Academy Knights vs. Providence Academy

White Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 66-6 loss at the hands of Providence Academy. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-20 back in December of 2024.

Gracie Blair was White Academy's leading scorer, having posted five points. Hailey Daniels held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Providence Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kinley Painter led the charge by going 8 of 16 en route to 19 points and four steals. The matchup was Painter's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Phillips, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 16 points along with seven boards and four steals.
