Basketball Recap: Northeast Metro RVT Takes a Loss

Northeast Metro RVT lost against Academy of Notre Dame back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northeast Metro RVT Knights came up short against the Academy of Notre Dame Lancers, falling 75-55. Even though they lost, the Knights' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.2 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

When it comes to explaining why Northeast Metro RVT lost, don't look at Jeanahel Exilus. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points. Those 23 points gave Exilus a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Connolly, who put up ten points.

Academy of Notre Dame was led to victory by Rigo Challinger and Isiah Ferguson. Challinger had 31 points, while Ferguson scored 30 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Challinger has scored at least a third of Academy of Notre Dame's points.

This is the second loss in a row for Northeast Metro RVT and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Academy of Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Northeast Metro RVT wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 84-46 defeat against Mystic Valley Regional on the 3rd. As for Academy of Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-67 loss against Minuteman Regional on the 4th.
