Softball Recap: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Norwood Mustangs        
        
		
            
 Bellingham was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They fell  12-8 to the Norwood Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bellingham of the  5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2022.
 Bellingham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Trista Corshia, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.  Lorelai Grant was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 On Norwood's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Lizzy Helmar, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Kaylin Carreiro, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-5.
 Bellingham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Norwood, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
 Bellingham will head out on the road to  challenge  Tri-County RVT at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Tri-County RVT will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last. As for Norwood, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Norton at 4:00  p.m. Norton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3  runs per game  this season.
