Volleyball Game Preview: Edgewater Eagles vs. Evans Trojans

The Edgewater Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Evans Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Edgewater didn't have quite enough to beat Crooms Academy and fell 3-2. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-21 in the first set.

Edgewater started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-27, 25-21, 25-17, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Evans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Ocoee.

This is the second loss in a row for Edgewater and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Evans, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Edgewater beat Evans 2-0 when the teams last played on Friday. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
