St. Augustine's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Menendez Falcons by a score of 3-1. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

St. Augustine had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 27-25, 27-25.

Fernando Miguel Di Francesco paced St. Augustine's offense, picking up 20 kills. Di Francesco got some help from Kelan Blanco and his 43 assists. Harry Groome controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Menendez lost, don't look at Leo Villar. Despite the final result, he had 16 digs.

St. Augustine's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Menendez, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

St. Augustine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Tocoi Creek on the 14th. As for Menendez, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Warner Christian Academy on the 14th.
