While Westwood's victory against River Dell wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Golden Hawks 3-2 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Golden Hawks: they've now won eight in a row.

Joe Cerritelli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Nick Klein was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Matt Terrwilliger also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Westwood's record now sits at 7-5. As for River Dell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
