Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian lost against Faith Baptist back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Faith Christian took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Baptist Eagle. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 530th, while Faith Baptist is ranked 189th).

Faith Baptist got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Ahrens out in front who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Burton, who had 12 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Faith Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Faith Baptist, their record now sits at 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will welcome New Life Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faith Baptist, they will host FAITH HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
