Soccer Recap: Chamblee Takes a Loss

Chamblee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Northgate Vikings who were credited with the victory. The Northgate Vikings got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Chamblee Bulldogs' three. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Vikings are ranked 14th).

Chamblee's goal came courtesy of Patricia Naveda, who's now up to three this season.

Chamblee's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Northgate, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Chamblee has already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Cambridge on the 10th. As for Northgate, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against McIntosh on the 7th.
