Flag Football Game Preview: El Dorado Golden Hawks vs. Villa Park Spartans

The El Dorado Golden Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Villa Park Spartans at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (El Dorado 13.1, Villa Park 9.8) so any points scored will be well earned.

El Dorado took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 13-6 win over Troy. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Villa Park didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Yorba Linda on Monday, but they still walked away with a 13-8 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 55th).

El Dorado's record is now 8-12. As for Villa Park, their record now sits at 10-11.

El Dorado suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to Villa Park in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Golden Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
