Soccer Game Preview: Pickens vs. Blue Ridge

The Pickens Blue Flame are taking a road trip to square off against the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pickens is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Travelers Rest who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Devildogs got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Pickens' two.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Blue Ridge and Berea had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Fighting Tigers came up short against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for Blue Ridge in their meetings with Berea: they've now lost three in a row.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Pickens, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
