Football Recap: Murrah Mustangs vs. Clinton Arrows
Thursday just wasn't the day for Murrah's offense. They were outmatched by the Clinton Arrows and fell 35-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Arrows recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Schorrard Murray threw for 178 yards on 19 of 31 attempts. Jouston Foster was his top target, picking up 82 receiving yards. On the ground, Aayden Ray rushed for 26 yards.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Boskey Evans and Cayden Albert. Evans rushed for 117 yards and one TD on only 11 carries while Albert rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores.
Murrah's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Clinton, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-2.
Murrah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 45-14 defeat against Madison Central on the 17th. As for Clinton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 28-7 loss against Starkville on the 17th.
