Softball Recap: South View Has No Trouble Against Ashley

South View never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Ashley Screaming Eagle 11-0. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Screaming Eagle: they've now won four in a row.

JORDYNN PARNELL was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, South View got a big performance out of PAIGE FORD, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. DESTINY SHOULARS was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

South View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

South View's record is now 3-0. As for Ashley, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

South View didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-0 win against Seventy-First on the 4th. As for Ashley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-7 defeat against Swansboro on the 6th.
