Eustis had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mount Dora Hurricanes 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won nine games in a row.

Carson Roden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kendall Kemp was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Eustis' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Dora, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Eustis will face off against South Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Dora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
