Basketball Recap: Palmer's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Palmer needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Brookelyn Watts. The Palmer Bulldogs claimed a resounding 51-23 victory over the Prairiland Patriots thanks in part to Watts, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Palmer's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Prairiland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Palmer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-38 defeat against Leonard on the 26th. As for Prairiland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Prairiland is facing Chisum at the right time seeing as Chisum is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
