Softball Recap: Ontario Tigers vs. La Grande Tigers
Ontario had lost six straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-7 to make it seven. They lost 16-1 to La Grande. That's two games in a row now that Ontario has lost by exactly 15 runs.
Ontario saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydnie Santoyo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Santoyo has hit this season.
As for La Grande, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.3 runs this season.
On La Grande's side, Peyton Daggett and Joselynn Dodds did most of the damage at the plate: Daggett went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Dodds got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Dodds a new career-high. Paige Allen was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, La Grande is set to challenge their familiar foe Pendleton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
