Volleyball Recap: Christian Family Academy Triumphs

The Christian Family Academy Fire sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Temple Baptist Eagles on Thursday.

Izzy Harrelson had an outrageously good game as she had 11 aces, six kills, and one block. Those 11 aces gave her a new career-high. Ally Justice was another key player, getting seven aces, five kills, and two blocks.

They weren't the only good server: Christian Family Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 29 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

The win got Christian Family Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Temple Baptist, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Family Academy will host Lake Lure Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Temple Baptist, they will challenge IC Imagine at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
