Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Comes Up Short

Elk Grove lost against Schaumburg back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grenadiers fell 2-0 to the Saxons. The Grenadiers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Elk Grove was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Schaumburg work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-21.

Schaumburg can attribute much of their success to Larisa Baldwin, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Elk Grove's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Schaumburg, the win also got them back to even at 14-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elk Grove will welcome Palatine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Grenadiers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Schaumburg, they will challenge Prospect at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
