Johnson made her presence known in Slinger's 13-5 win
While Friday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Niki Johnson. Port Washington had no answer to Johnson on Friday as she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
Johnson and Slinger have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome West Bend West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Slinger will be headed into this one with a pretty big disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 75 places lower in Wisconsin), but they're not letting that get them down.
