Football Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Miller took on Grove City Christian on Friday. The Falcons were beaten by the Eagles 62-20. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Miller lost, don't look at Zander Bice. Despite the final result, he rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Bice is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 157 every time he's taken the field this season. Miller also got help from Nick Thompson, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.

Miller's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Grove City Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
