Soccer Game Preview: Osborne vs. Cherokee

The Osborne Cardinals will take on the Cherokee Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Osborne turned things around against McEachern last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Indians. Brayden Adams was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Cherokee had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wolverines. Given Cherokee's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Woodstock are ranked 175th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cherokee's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Osborne, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Osborne might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Cherokee in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
