Volleyball Game Preview: Pine River-Backus Tigers vs. Swanville Bulldogs

The Pine River-Backus Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Swanville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Pine River-Backus sitting on four straight victories and Swanville on nine.

On Friday, Pine River-Backus made easy work of Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] and carried off a 3-0 win.

Pine River-Backus was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Swanville got the win against Ogilvie on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

Swanville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ogilvie between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-18.

Pine River-Backus' victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Swanville, their win bumped their record up to 23-2.
