Volleyball Game Preview: Galway Golden Eagles vs. Johnstown Sir Bills

The Galway Golden Eagles will challenge the Johnstown Sir Bills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Galway has seven straight wins, Johnstown has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Galway got the win against Schoharie by a conclusive 3-0.

Galway was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Johnstown came up short against Fonda-Fultonville on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Johnstown ultimately came up short, they really made Fonda-Fultonville work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-12, 25-12.

Johnstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-2. As for Galway, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2-3.

Galway took their win against Johnstown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sir Bills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
