Softball Recap: Bellville Comes Up Short

Bellville easily dispatched Brazos last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bellville Brahmas fell just short of the Madisonville Mustangs by a score of 8-6 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Brahmas of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Emma Dristas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Katie Falk also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bellville's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Madisonville, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellville will venture away from home to face off against Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madisonville, they will head out to take on Rusk at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
