Baseball Recap: Kearny Drops Highest Score of Season Against Francis Parker

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kearny). They walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Francis Parker Lancers on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Komets considering their two-run performance the game before.

Nicolas Hembera was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, five runs, and one triple. Kearny is 6-2 when Hembera posts two or more runs, but 3-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was DJ Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Kearny always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
