Basketball Game Preview: Cedarcrest Red Wolves vs. Tyee Titans + Official Tickets

The Cedarcrest Red Wolves and the Tyee Titans will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Cedarcrest will be strutting in after a victory while Tyee will be coming in after a defeat.

Cedarcrest proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 22) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over Highline. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Wolves have posted since January 17th.

Cedarcrest found their leader in sophomore Paul Laycock, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Smith, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Tyee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against South Whidbey, falling 81-60. On the bright side, the 60- point effort marked the Titans' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Tyee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cedarcrest, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.
