The Dunbar Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 75-58 win over Belmont. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Dunbar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Brewer jr, who scored 23 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Brewer jr has scored at least 25% of Dunbar's points. Jimmy Hill iv was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Belmont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Denzell Ogle. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Ogle's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Judah Baldwin, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

Dunbar's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5. As for Belmont, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Dunbar's road trip will continue as they head out to face Walnut Ridge at 11:30 a.m. on January 13th. As for Belmont, they will take on Trotwood-Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Trotwood-Madison presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Belmont in Ohio (Trotwood-Madison is ranked 71st, while Belmont is ranked 242nd).
