Ava took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Thayer, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bobcats on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ava was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-15, 24-26, 25-14, 18-16.

Ava's victory bumped their record up to 7-12-2. As for Thayer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Ava has already played their next match (against Houston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Thayer, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Liberty on the 16th.
