Soccer Game Preview: Macomb vs. Jacksonville

The Macomb Bombers will challenge the Jacksonville Crimsons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Macomb's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Macomb and Monmouth-Roseville finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jacksonville). Their defense stepped up to hand Decatur Eisenhower a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for Jacksonville in their matchups with Decatur Eisenhower: they've now won nine in a row.

Jacksonville's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-8-1. With that draw, Macomb's record moves to 5-5-3.
