Basketball Recap: Aj Koontz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bedford over Bishop Carroll

Bedford lost against Bishop Carroll back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bedford Bisons took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Carroll Huskies.

Bedford lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aj Koontz, who posted six points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Koontz is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Taylor, who earned eight points and six rebounds.

Jace Casses was a one-man wrecking crew for Bishop Carroll as he went 11 of 25 on his way to 27 points. Another player making a difference was Will Tremel, who put up seven points.

Bedford now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Bishop Carroll, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Bedford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-48 defeat against Chestnut Ridge on the 12th. As for Bishop Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-57 loss against Bishop McCort on the 12th.
