Basketball Recap: Webster Skates Past Dove Science Academy with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Webster walked away with it. They breezed past the Dove Science Academy Raptors to the tune of 71-28 on Thursday. The Warriors not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since January 16th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Webster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hondo Avington, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 12 points along with six assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Avington a new career-high in assists. Jeremiah Kimble was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Webster moved to 11-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Dove Science Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

As of now, neither Webster nor Dove Science Academy have any future games scheduled.
