Softball Recap: North Miami Warriors vs. Culver Community Cavaliers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Logansport, North Miami was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Culver Community Cavaliers by a score of 8-3. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ashley Sumpter-Music spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Aricyn Hunt was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Zoey Sparks was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
