Volleyball Game Preview: Polytechnic Panthers vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves

The Polytechnic Panthers will head out to face off against the Flintridge Prep Wolves at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Polytechnic is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Rio Hondo Prep just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Kares by a score of 3-2.

Polytechnic took Rio Hondo Prep into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 26-28, 25-23, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep entered their tilt with Chadwick on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Dolphins with a sharp 3-0 win.

Flintridge Prep got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-11, 31-29.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Flintridge Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Polytechnic was able to grind out a solid win over Flintridge Prep in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
