Soccer Game Preview: Fredericksburg vs. Wimberley

Fredericksburg hasn't had much luck against Wimberley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Fredericksburg Billies are taking a road trip to take on the Wimberley Texans at 7:00 p.m.

Fredericksburg lost 6-2 to Davenport on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Billies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Wolves are ranked 34th).

Ellie Seracen and Lila Matthes scored both of Fredericksburg's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Wimberley made sure to put some goals up on the board against Bandera on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over the BULLDOGS. The result was nothing new for the Texans, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Wimberley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-1 record this season. Fredericksburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Fredericksburg suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Wimberley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Fredericksburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
