Volleyball Recap: Hanover Wildcats vs. Linn Bulldogs

Hanover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Linn Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on Tuesday.

While Hanover was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23.

Drew Bruna paced Hanover's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bruna got some help from Katie Holle and her 25 assists. Ally Scheele controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Geni Turk was the offensive standout of the match as she had 15 digs and one assist. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Linn, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-5.

Hanover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Valley Heights on the 11th. As for Linn, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Onaga on the 11th.
