Softball Recap: Ludlow Wins Going Away Against Mount Everett Regional

Ludlow won the last time they faced Mount Everett Regional and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 21-6 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Lions have won four games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ludlow got a massive performance out of Kylie Roach, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Roach has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Slatton, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Ludlow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Ludlow and bumps their season record up to 6-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.0 runs over those games. As for Mount Everett Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Coming up, Ludlow is taking a road trip to take on Chicopee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Everett Regional, they will host Lee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
